Guillermo’s work has been exhibited at and collected by numerous museums in the U.S. and South America. He has won multiple prizes, government grants and commissions as well as created a number of public art projects such as permanent murals and installations.
His mixed media pieces have been reviewed in major newspapers in the U.S., Japan, and Chile. One of his multiple projects allowed him to work in collaboration with Jacques Heim, Artistic Director of Diavolo Dance Company, to produce a series of paintings and limited edition prints inspired by the dance troupe’s choreographic elements. In 2000, Bert also taught Mixed Media classes at Art Center School of Design in Pasadena, California, and was a faculty member for five years.
He showed in a number of Museums including the Museum of Latin American Art (MoLAA) in Long Beach, the San Diego Museum of Art, and the Architectural Design Museum in Los Angeles.
